WYB is is looking for YOU!

We are a volunteer run organization, and as such, need volunteers to fill positions on our board of Directors.
The two year terms for the following positions are coming to a close in October of 2010:

  • President
  • Treasurer
  • Vice President - Girls Divisions
  • Director of Registration and Scheduling
  • Director of Field Maintenance
  • Director of Concessions
Come be a part of a wonderful organization for the youth of the Whitnall Area!

Pictured is Gabrielle Wolff who plays in the girl’s minors division of Whitnall Youth Baseball/Softball. Gabrielle won the MLB Aquafina Pitch, Hit, and Run state championship at Miller Park on Sunday June 27th.

This past weekend, the U12 boys took home the championship in the Brookfield Bulldogs Backyard Bash defeating the Mequon Heat in the finals by a score of 9-1. The boys combined timely hitting, pitching and defense while posting a 5-0 record in the tournament. Also, congratulations to the boys U10 team for making the semi-finals in this same tourney.

The U12 Tournament Team started their season off with a powerful hitting weekend in the 3rd Annual Memorial Tournament. The girls were hitting and running the bases hard, scoring 77 runs in 6 games! The girls went a full 7 innings in the championship game earning a 2nd Place finish. Congratulations girls; we are proud of the way you played and look forward to see what’s to come!

Congratulations to the U14 girls team in coming in second of the Third Annual Whitnall Memorial Tournament. On a hot spring weekend the girls battled to the championship game after a thrilling 3-0 win over the New Berlin Majic. In the championship game they jumped to a 4-0 lead before The Waterford Firehawks stormed back with a 6 run third inning to take control of the game and cruise to a 10-6 win. A fantastic start to the tournament season!

Whitnall U-14 Boys Capture Title; Other Teams Shine

Several Whitnall boys tournament teams opened their season last weekend at the Wind Lake Invitational. The U-11 boys fought their way into the semis. The U-13 boys combined great pitching and fielding with timely hitting en route to a 2nd place finish. The U-14 pitchers combined to throw three shutouts while the hitters produced over ten runs in three games, culminating their title run with an 11-1 championship win over Muskego.

Again this year, Whitnall High School Coach Brian Johnsen will be conducting (2) baseball camps for ALL WYB Boys and Girls ages 6 to 14.

  • Camp #1: Ages 6 - 10 held on June 14th -June 16th
  • Camp #2: Ages 11 - 14 held on June 21nd - June 23th
