Game tonight
by posted 06/29/2020

Hello everyone, Once again I apologize for the late notice regarding the game. The problem is when we play in Greendale they don't have a website like we do to see if the fields are closed. Coach Tony actually went to the fields to check them out and it is clear we weren't going to play. I have emailed the board to hopefully get contact information for the Greendale coaches so if this situation happens again I can handle it directly. Thanks again for your understanding. Coach Dan

Hello everyone, I apologize but I have not heard anything definitive as of yet regarding our game. I have been trying since 4:00 PM to try and get a straight answer from anyone and have yet to receive one. While I would guess we are canceled, I have not heard that officially. Communication is definitely not a strong suit here and again I apologize. I will try to send another update when I hear.

Welcome back to baseball!
by posted 06/02/2020

Hello everyone,

My name is Coach Dan and I will be your son's Coach this season for Whitnall baseball.  First of all,  I hope all of you have been staying safe and healthy.  Hopefully getting back to baseball will provide everyone with something positive to focus on.

Obviously this season will be different than any other.  We have many new safety issues to go over to make sure that everyone stays safe.  I would like to have a short parent meeting at the end of our practice this coming Saturday.  Please make every effort to attend so everyone can be on the same page going forward.  It will be on field 5 at the back of the park and will hopefully start around 10:50-10:55.  If you are unable to attend please email me and let me know.

As of now we have two practices scheduled and I am hoping to add at least one more.  Practices so far are June 6th from 9:00-11:00 am and June 8th from 5:00-6:30.  Please make sure your son comes with his own equipment including glove and helmet.  Personal bats are not required, but highly recommended.  Also please have them wear cleats, pants, and bring something to drink.

If you know your son cannot make a game or practice please let me know ahead of time.  We only have 11 boys on the team so I want to make sure we always have enough to play and so I can make out a lineup for each game.  You can call, text, or email me and I will include my contact info below.  Coach Tony will once again be helping me out and I am looking forward to a fun season.

If you have a question please let me know or feel free to ask at the parent meeting.  I look forward to hopefully seeing you all on Saturday.

Coach Dan
