December
2008 Newsletter
Happy New Years to everyone.
We hope that your holidays are safe
and fun. While we are looking
at snow and cold
temperatures now, before you know it the baseball season will be upon
us. The sleds and snowboards
will be replaced
with gloves and bats. The
focus of this
newsletter is to provide you with information regarding registration
for the 2009
season.
League
sign-up
– The sign up date for the 2009 season is scheduled for
Saturday, January 17th
from 8am until 12 noon. It
will be held
at the Hales Corners Village Hall, 5635 S. New Berlin Rd. Everyone
that played in the 2008
season
received a pre-registration form in the mail.
Many have pre-registered and will only need to come to
registration to arrange
their volunteer time and pick up candy if they ordered it.
As in the past, families that live
within the Whitnall
School District or families with a child that goes to a School in the
Whitnall
School District boundaries will be given preference to people that live
outside
the District. We will accept
registrations from outside the area to fill divisions that
aren’t full on a
first come basis. It is strongly
recommended that you sign up as soon
as possible to
ensure placement on a team. Once
the
divisions are full, kids will be put on a waiting list.
At sign-up, you will be given a list
of important dates, pay
your fees, you’ll pick your volunteer time (minimum of 4
hours) and you’ll
receive information on league rules, etc. If
you cannot make this date, please contact Scott Stachowski - sstachowski@wi.rr.com
for registration materials and
further
information.

Volunteers
Needed
We continue to be in need of people willing to do more than the
required four
hours of volunteer work. It
takes many
hours and many people to make the league work as well as it does.
If you are interested in going that extra
mile please call Don Drew or any board member to discuss the openings
or ask at
sign-up.
Managers
and Coaches
Every year is a challenge to fill all of the positions of Managers and
Coaches. If you would like to
more
information on either position please call Kris Bzdawka for boys or
Gary Kohls
for girls or see them at sign-up.
Board
Meetings
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month in the pavilion
at Schoetz
Park. Meetings begin at 7:00pm during the
off-season, 8:00pm during the season
and generally last 90 minutes. We
are
always looking for new ideas and better ways to do things, so please
stop by,
contact us and be a part of your league. The
Board of Directors has 13
members to spread out the work load and
also to have more discussion on important issues.
